 children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.) \n\n\n	Join the Museum
  of the Moving Image for a fun-filled day when kids can step into the role
 s of filmmakers\, designers\, and actors preparing for the Academy Awards!
  The Museum will present screenings of Oscar-winning films\, offer art-mak
 ing projects based on awards categories\, and host an award-themed scaveng
 er hunt in our exhibitions. And\, no award show is complete without accept
 ance speeches and a red carpet for a little glamour! \n\n\n	Drop-in activi
 ties include (free with admission): \n	\n	\n	Award-Winning Moving Image St
 udio \n	\n	  11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Digital Learning Suite) \n	\n	Recomm
 ended for ages 4+ \n	\n	This super-sized version of the Museum’s drop-in s
 tudio will feature activities focused on award show categories and glamour
 . Take your picture on the red carpet\, give your own awards acceptance sp
 eech\, vote for your own favorite movies\, and create some of your own mas
 terpieces. \n\n\n	Screening of a Muppet awards compilation \n	\n	11:00 a.m
 . to 4:00 p.m. (Tut's Fever Movie Palace\, in Behind the Screen) \n	\n	Rec
 ommended for ages 3+ \n	\n	A continuous loop throughout the day featuring 
 the Muppets being glamorous and a Muppet Show episode featuring “The Fred 
 Awards.” Drop in anytime throughout the day for the Muppets own take on aw
 ard shows. \n\n\n	Face Painting with the Cheeky Chipmunk \n	\n	11:00 a.m. 
 to 4:00 p.m. \n	\n	Children can pick from an assortment of movie-themed im
 ages and have their faces painted to get in the festive mood. Space is lim
 ited\, pick up a ticket when you arrive to reserve your spot. \n\n\n	Scave
 nger Hunt \n	\n	11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. \n	\n	Recommended for children age
 s 6+ with the help of an adult \n	\n	Throughout the day\, families can exp
 lore The Jim Henson Exhibition and the Museum’s core exhibition Behind the
  Screen with a fun award show–themed scavenger hunt.&nbsp\; \n\n\n	Tickete
 d events: \n	\n	See the Disney classic Mary Poppins (1964) on the big scre
 en at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Winner of five Academy Awards including Bes
 t Actress in a Leading Role (Julie Andrews) and Best Music\, and Original 
 Song for “Chim Chim Cher-ee.” Oscar-Nominated Animated Shorts 2018 will sc
 reen at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Tickets are required for these screenings. Plea
