The Wolf House

Our 9/29 screening of this surreal and sinister animated film, as haunting as it is exquisitely crafted, will be followed by a Q&A with directors Joaquin Cociña and Cristóbal León. 

A Lion in the House 

This expansive and unforgettable documentary follows five different Ohio families over six years as they deal with the emotional and physical toll of childhood cancer, shot on early digital video between 1997 and 2003 by Oscar-winning filmmakers Julia Reichert and Steve Bognar.

The Space Race

The Space Race tells the little-known story of the first Black pilots, scientists, and engineers to become astronauts. Free screening on 10/4 followed by a conversation and Q&A with directors Lisa Cortés and Diego Hurtado de Mendoza.

An unforgettable romantic drama, the second feature by Singleton after his Oscar-nominated breakthrough Boyz n the Hood starred Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur. The Friday, October 6, 6:00 p.m. screening will be preceded by a spoken word showcase with poets King Kamayera and Sabreen Jolley in collaboration with community partner African Peach Arts Coalition and will take place in the Redstone Theater.
